NAVY CONTRACT SPECIALIST
John brings to Future Defense 25 years of experience with the NAVSEA Deck Systems branch (SEA 05Z43) as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) designing/testing all US Navy surface ship small boat and vehicle handling systems and general engineer for AMT, UNREP and other Deck Systems.
He developed performance/procurement specifications; reviewed OEM bids and assisted in awarding contracts for all the small boat and vehicle handling legacy systems on LCS 1&2 Classes, FFG 7/CG 47/DD 963/DDG 993/LHA-1/LHD-1/LSD-41/49 and CVN 68/78 classes
He developed and published ABS NVR Section 5.4.4 (Davits), which is the governing document used in the development of performance/procurement specifications for LPD 17/LCS 1&2/DDG 1000 and CVN 78 class systems.
He developed test procedures for Factory Acceptance Testing, First Article Testing and progressive Stage Testing. Revised NSTM 583 for all ship classes.
He was appointed as the NAVSEA technical representative and subject matter expert for the investigations of boat handling system fatalities on LPD 17, CG 57 and FFG 38.
